Putting a bounty on Americans will not and cannot be tolerated. We must look into and verify if anyone in the Trump administration was alerted about this. The same people who broke the Russia hoax story now expect us to believe their reporting on President Trump ignoring bounties on American troops?

The President’s response to reports of #Russia-backed bounties on troops raise more questions. How long has this intelligence existed? Why wasnt POTUS briefed? Why werent the appropriate Congressional Committees briefed? And how will the US respond? Vladimir Putin has never been a friend to the United States. I am deeply concerned by the reports that Russia put bounties on American soldiers. If this is true, Russia must be held accountable.

Recent stories that allege Russia paid bounties to insurgents to kill US forces in Afghanistan is deeply disturbing. #Congress must have a full accounting of what happened what steps the #Trump administration is taking to hold Russia accountable. Russia is not a partner, and not to be negotiated with. @realdonaldtrump needs to immediately expose and handle this, and stop Russias shadow war cc: @jimsciutto Russia Secretly Offered Afghan Militants Bounties to Kill U.S. Troops, Intelligence Says
