In response to Republican outrage over stay-at-home protocols, Rep. Dan Kildee tweeted, “The political rhetoric on display was also appalling. Republican elected officials compared Michigans stay at home order to the Holocaust, and protesters carried signs calling for the execution of those they disagree with.”
Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Illinois are the only states in the midwest with a shutdown. The rest are either partially opened or partially opening soon. On the west coast, about half of the states are on shutdown, including all of the Pacific states. In the northeast, all states besides Maine and New Hampshire are still on shutdown. In the South, most of the states, including Florida are partially opened now or will be soon. Alaska is open and Hawaii is closed.
