Long overdue funding for disaster relief in Puerto Rico and US Territories was finally passed today in Congress.

The bill provides $4.67 billion towards issues such as nutrition, road and electric damage, as well as education needs of victims.

Here is what Congress had to say about it:

Rep. Darren Soto (D) | 07:15 pm

Our fellow Americans have endured unspeakable tragedy. Yet, Trump failed to mention Puerto Rico once. He should be ashamed of himself. #SOTU

Rep. Jenniffer Gonzalez-Colon (R)  | 07:46 am

Although the full extent of the damage is still being assessed, it is evident that the ongoing earthquakes impacting Puerto Rico have been particularly harmful for our students and education system.

Rep. Donna Shalala (D)  | 00:25 pm

Puerto Rico was just struck by the 11th #earthquake in 30 days, but the island isnt receiving the aid necessary to respond.
