Today in Congress, the House of Representatives discussed 3 bills:

H.R.3055 – Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2020 – Making appropriations for the Departments of Commerce and Justice, Science, and Related Agencies for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2020, and for other purposes.

H.R.2196 – To amend title 38, United States Code, to reduce the credit hour requirement for the Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship program of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

H.R.2109 – BRAVE Act – To amend title 38, United States Code, to authorize the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, in awarding a contract for the procurement of goods or services, to give a preference to offerors that employ veterans.

Regarding the BRAVE Act, Rep. Kathleen Rice tweeted, “The House just unanimously passed my bill, the BRAVE Act, which will reward companies that actively hire veterans!”

Regarding Bill H.R.3055, Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney tweeted, “If we want to compete in a modern economy, we need modern infrastructure. That’s why I’m voting to expand/improve infrastructure in rural & farming communities across New York. This is the kind of investment the Hudson Valley needs. #HR3055.”
